Question

Import Agent Startlist, volume not found error [9006]

asked on March 26, 2018 Show version history

Import Agent 10.3

Configured correctly.

Both Tiff and LST files exist in the "monitored" folder.

Imports metadata to correct repository but does not put the "Tif" files within those entries. Instead places them under the repository folder

Get an Event code error that states, LF cannot process the "Startlist" placed within an *.lst file. "Volume not found (9006)"

Suspect there's some special way the *.lst file needs to be formatted for it to be processed correctly.

Cannot find any info in how to format the list file for import.

Attached is the *.lst file renamed as a *.txt file so the "Laserfiche Attach File" option below would allow an upload.

Any help?

Addendum:

The files are correctly named and referenced.

The Import 8.0 version works using this format.

It's in Import 10.3 I'm experiencing problems.

The error seems to suggest that it can't find the "MAR 2018" volume listed in LST file as that is what error code 9006 indicates, so my first thought would be to check the Admin console and confirm that it exists. and go from there and maybe test with a different volume too.

The installation folder for Import Agent contains examples for various LST files and the samples should be in "C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Import Agent\List File Examples" but I didn't see anything in there about setting a volume.

Per "Volume not found", you can follow Jason's suggestions.

Per "Imports metadata to correct repository but does not put the "Tif" files within those entries. Instead places them under the repository folder", do you check the option 'Recognize file with LST extensions as list files' in options dialog? In lst file, the reference image is under the same folder as lst file, you should configure the filter ".lst" in the profile, that may cause the lst file could not find the image.

Already had those set

Didn't work.

Folders are created but the .tif files fail to populate to the target folders.

They simply get placed at the root of the volume.

Figured out my problem.

It was the "Volume" designation.

Set .lst's "tif" location to the Volume name and not a folder in the volume, that fixed the problem.

Thanks
