Are you asking whether it's possible to create users from a list stored in a 3rd party database? Or are you asking if Laserfiche can use a 3rd party authentication system for logging users in?

If the former, then the Laserfiche or Directory Server SDKs can be used to create users. If the latter, Directory Server supports 3rd party authentication through SAML providers, like AD FS or Shibboleth.
