I have a user in the web access client, but when trying to open an .msg, she is only given the option to check out and give her reasons. Is this a setting I need to change? Not sure where.

Hi Robyn,
You can change the behavior by going to the Options Page->Display tab and selecting 'Open electronic file in document viewer'.
What version of Web Client are you using? In 10.3.0, we added the ability to display formatted email content in the document viewer. Prior to 10.3, Web Client lacked that capability, which is why it defaulted to checkout or download.
Hi Ryan,
I do want to check out the email in this case, though - but my understanding is that there are two ways to check out a document in web client:
1. you open the document via the office integration and when you're done, it saves back into the repository (this is done just by clicking the document)
2. you formally check out the document so that not only do you download a local copy, but others can't alter the document in the respository.
Right now, it defaults to #2, but I want it to do #1. Changing the settings to "open electronic file in document viewer" isn't what I want. My user wanted to open the email in order to reply to the sender of the email.

That's a major problem...
