What is the upgrade path for LFDS 10.0.0.222 to 10.3?

I went back to check on the AD sync bug and verified that it was on the Forms side and is resolved in Forms 10.3.1 (LFDS version does not impact it). As such, so long as you're running Laserfiche Server 10.2.1 or later (or 10.1 Update 3), the order does not particularly matter. It's the LFDS team's goal to make LFDS version matter only for new features, except when absolutely unavoidable to resolve a known issue.
Unless you need to test out a new LFDS 10.3 feature, such as SAML authentication, or have Subscription user licenses, I would recommend sticking with your original plan:

Upgrade Information
Directory Server 10.3 can be installed over existing Directory Server 10, Directory Server 9, and License Manager 8.3.1 installations.
When creating a Directory Server licensing site, you have the option of importing data from a License Manager 8 database into the new Directory Server licensing site. The import process will migrate registered application information, named users license assignments, and version 8.3.x Active Directory group synchronization rules into the Directory Server site.
Directory Server 10.3 requires Laserfiche Server version 10.2.1 and later or Laserfiche Server 10.1 Update 3 (KB 1013882).
Ok, so that is good to know, however we are still running Laserfiche Server 10.1.0.151. So are you suggesting that we upgrade our 10.1.0.151 server to 10.2 and then upgrade the LFDS to 10.3 and then the servers to 10.3?
BTW, we are standing up new servers so we can also consolidate our 9.2 and 10.1.0.151 repositories to 10.3, plus we are looking into deploying Forms Essentials (Professional if there is a demand), so does this impact how we go to 10.3 in any way?

You can upgrade your Laserfiche Server instances directly from 10.1.0.151 to 10.3.x (where x is the latest point release or update available).
After upgrading your Laserfiche Servers to 10.3.x, upgrade LFDS to 10.3.
Install Forms 10.3.x after you have upgraded LFDS to 10.3, as there were some issues with syncing AD users between LFDS 10 and earlier versions of Forms that are resolved in the 10.3 builds.
Both my development and production forms servers are conncected to the same directory server. My plan was to upgrade my entire development environment including the forms server to 10.3.x before upgrading any production servers including the common LFDS. After reading this, it seems the best approach would be to wait on the Forms Server upgrades until after the common LFDS has been upgraded to 10.3.x. Can you confirm this is best practice?
