I did a quick search on answers and did not find anything like this so I thought I would reach out and see if anyone else is trying to accomplish something similar.

Will we ever be able to restrict who can see a tag?  I don't mean the security tags, but something similar.  What I am looking for is closer to the rights to see a template where I can set it so only certain templates can be seen by certain groups and anyone who opens the drop-down of template names doesn't have to scroll through a list of 200 templates to find the one they need.  They open the drop-down and only see the 2 or 3 that apply to them.

Case Uses:

We have tags that we apply solely for the purpose of preventing a workflow from running.  No one outside us folks on the LF Admin team should be able to apply this tag to a document.  But I can't hide it from every other LF user.

I am working on a process where a user in one department can flag a file in some way to have a workflow kick off that will create a shortcut of the document into the County Attorney's folder for viewing.  I could use a metadata field and put a certain value in it but the amount of file that actually get sent to the Attorney are very small compared to the number that are not, so is it worth having it on the template when it is mostly unused.  I like the use of tags but what I want to avoid is giving user a long list of tags they have to go through until they find the one they need.
