Remove "Sort By" option in Weblink when customer does a search

We have a customer who would like to set a filter to a specific sort option and not expose this to the customer, when the customer is searching in Weblink.

Is there a way to set this in the Weblink Designer?

All I can see is to add the Sort Option, in the Sort Options tab, and then just not add it as a design view in the Designer, but I am not sure that will work.

As I am looking into this request, may I ask for a use-case as to why the customer would not like to expose the sort option? Is it just to keep WebLink more "clean" and provide less clickable options or are there some security implications that I may not be thinking of?

Hello Andrew,

More from a security standpoint where they would just like to eliminate the option for someone to click in the box.

I provided the customer with the option to just lock it down to the Sort Option they want and if the user does click in the Sort by Results, it will only populate that option.

I did try testing by creating a single Sort Option, but then did not add the Sort By option in the Design view.  When I launched Weblink for this test search, there was not Sort By option and I tested with a word, but I was not 100% positive it pulled the right hits, as I have pretty limited test data in the Repository I was pulling from.
