Receiving "Laserfiche Directory user does not have a full license. [LFF3008-LFDSCredentialNoFullLic]

asked on March 15, 2018

When attempting to set the Laserfiche Forms URL (realm) to an HTTPS FQDN from the current http://machinename/forms  setting, I am receiving the error "Laserfiche Directory user does not have a full license. [LFF3008-LFDSCredentialNoFullLic]" and a message "Unable to connect to Laserfiche Directory Server".

Should the Laserfiche Directory user have a full license, and if so, how would this be allocated?

Also, how would I find which user is set as the Laserfiche Directory User?

For those who may be encountering this problem:

The resolution to this problem is to temporarily grant the user specified in the User Authentication tab as the Laserfiche Forms System Administrator a full license in Laserfiche Directory Server, then set the Laserfiche Forms URL (realm) to https://fully.qualified.domain/forms that the server responds on.  (This pre-supposes that you have an SSL certificate installed on the Default Web Site that matches the fully.qualified.domain.)

Once the setting change has been saved, you may remove the full license from the user above.
