Let's say a business process task is currently assigned to personA but personA is currently out-of-office. This task needs to be completed immediately and personB has the authority to approve this step in the process. PersonA and personB are both Participant Licensed users. Is there a way for personB to open and take ownership of that task from personA without System Administrator intervention? So far I logged in as personA and viewed the task assigned to it. I then copied the URL in the address bar, logged out and then logged back in as personB. I then pasted the link into the address bar while logged in as personB and was directed to a page that said I was not authorized to view that task.

Hi Jared,
1. PersonB could view task of personA if the task is task of a team which they both belong to;
2. But personB could not reassign the task on himself: there must be a named user that is process admin or team manager level to reassign the task.
If the task is assigned to the team at first step, not assigned to personA, then personB could be able to claim the task and complete it. And if personA has claimed the task, you can have personA to release the task so personB could take it.
