Feature Request - Tutorial for Timer Catch Event

asked on March 12, 2018

It would be nice to have a tutorial (like those below) showing the ins and outs of using the Timer Catch Event.  They seem self explanatory, however, I'm finding they are not as easy to figure out as they appear to be.  I have tried to get more help using the Forms Help tools, however, there are no pages or sections that cover this.  Not that I've found.

Here's some explanation of timer catch events in the Laserfiche Administration Guide. If you didn't find that helpful, let us know what you were hoping for so that we can improve the documentation.

Thanks, Leif.  That is helpful.  For some reason, I have a link to the LF Forms Help pages, but not to this Administration Guide.  I will have to bookmark that page!

The Time Catch Event that you pointed me out to does give some description, but I am a real "must-see-it" type person.  Some diagrams showing configurations for one option and another configuration for another situation would also help on those pages.  Maybe some Pros & Cons of different configurations.

This is what I have learned today and I have documented for anyone else in my office:

In my experience attempting to set a timer up, I had to change this:

The difference being, the arrow going back to the Payment Stage on the first view above caused the process to keep repeating the Payment Stage.  Result of the tests was that there were four or five payment stage activities in the end, each of which were waiting for a Submit button to be hit.
