Question

Question

WebLink > SSO > Windows Group/Users

asked on March 8, 2018 Show version history

A client of ours is configuring WebLink to use Single Sign-on via LFDS. They have Weblink Dual Processor Public Portal licenses.

  1. How do you configure Windows Groups and Users in the Directory Server to have access to WebLink?
  2. Would the license be set to retrieval for the groups/users or just simply set to 'none'?

Thanks

Hi Karim,

The security settings and required licenses are the same as when you are not using Directory Server SSO.

  1. Security is set using the repository administration console (desktop, web, or through the web client management page)
    1. You must first search for and add Windows AD Groups, Windows Users, and Directory Server groups, but the rights are still assigned at the repository level
  2. If you have assigned a public portal license to the Laserfiche Server your WebLink will reference, you do not need to assign the users individual licenses (so the type would be "none")
