I'm trying to remove the space in between two individual fields (blue arrow, moving b. up to a.) with no luck. Any suggestions?

Try removing the bottom padding of the top field and the upper padding of the bottom field.

#q1 {padding-bottom: 0px !important;}
#q2 {padding-top: 0px !important;}
