Question

Question

Cannot connect to the Laserfiche Directory Server.

asked on March 7, 2018

When trying to log into the LF repository with repository user (Rio system with licenses assigned to the LF server), the user get "Cannot connect to the Laserfiche Directory Server. [9528]".  Yet in the event viewer on the LF Server machine, under "Applications and Services Logs" - "Laserfiche" - "ContentRepository" - "Service", in the "Admin" log, there are no errors about being unable to connect with the LFDS.  Why would a user get that error when they try to log in, but it does not show in the admin log file?

Hi, we have encounter same error message. What we did is upgrade an old repository from 9.x to 10.4 and after registered the copy of repo to LF server via LF admin console and it's all success. However when login to this repo we keep getting this message.

It's not the LF server can't connect to LFDS as all other repo have no issues.

Can anyone explain/guess what will be the issue?

Hi,

Any resolution? I am having the same issue. My other repos have no problem authenticating thru Windows AD. It's just one repo that can't  connect to LFDS thru Windows AD. It can connect thru a named repo user.
