Web Client URL When Using Load Balancing?

When installing the Web Cline on a server in a load balancing scenario, what should the Laserfiche Web Client Host URL be set to? Should it still be set to the server URL or the URL being used for Load Balancing?

Normally you would set it to use the load balancer URL.  This allows you to change your farm without invalidating any links.

One advantage to using the actual host name is that when you use the web client to launch scanning or Office plugin, those requests will go to the same node that the user's session lives on, and so it can share the connection rather than prompting the user for credentials.  Of course, this is only an option when that hostname is routable from the user's machine, which isn't always the case.

In any event, remember that the load balancer has to be in "session affinity" mode for the web client to work properly.
