Question

WebLink 10 - Search drop downs

asked on March 1, 2018

As part of our upgrade to WebLink 10, users are noticing that when doing a Template search certain drop down lists are not populating.  If the drop down is populated by a list created inside the metadata fields area of the admin console it works fine, but we have multiple lists populated by an external table in SQL and these fields are not showing any selectable entries.  This did apparently work in WebLink 9.  The lists work fine in the Client and in the Web Client.

It should work if your using the page Search.aspx, but dynamic fields are not supported in custom search pages.

I just verified that it was working for me in Weblink 10 on only the Search.aspx page. More details in this post

Edit: re-reading my post I just remembered, you have to find the Search9.aspx and replace the new Search.aspx. Details are in the post.

Thank you!  I didn't see that other question when I was looking for this issue.  I switched it over to the old search9 file and it's working now.

Nice, that might take away the new features, but they should be coming out with a big Dynamic Fields update for Weblink 10 in Q3.
