Question

WebLink 10 Search - Grid View

asked on March 1, 2018

Hey there,

We've upgraded to WebLink 10, and we used to be able to do a 'grid' or 'list' style search results page in WebLink 9 by modifying the Search.aspx file.  However, in WebLink 10 that file seems to be lacking in content.  I have been able to get it working for the CustomSearch.aspx and Welcome.aspx files, but not for the Search.aspx file.  Is there a new way to do it now?

Was able to put the old Search9.aspx file in place of Search.aspx and it works.  I guess we'll see if it's added to the new version of the search tool.

I am new to the back end of the system, is this something IT needs to do or can I do it through the console? I do not see where to access the back end of weblink. I need to change the search results in weblink to grid view.

Thanks for any easy help.....

I just remove the '9' from the 'search9' files.  I found the solution here - https://answers.laserfiche.com/questions/134946/Weblink-10--Not-minding-the-parent-field-configurations

However I've since rolled back to weblink 9 as we've found it much more stable and customizable.

Hi Shaun, thanks for your answer, today i also chat with support about this issue and they found that weblink has that problem viewing the images when you make those changes in the pages...

At this moment there is a case to solve the issue with some future patch. frown

..."However I've since rolled back to weblink 9 as we've found it much more stable and customizable."... OMG!!! We have version 10 in production right now...crying but as far as we know this is the only issue we had discovered...

Thanks again for your help.

Bye.
