How do you migrate Import agent profiles from versions 9 to 10 - Different boxes

Client has import agent version 9 on machine. Import Agent 10 is installed on a new server. How do you migrate the profiles of import agent to the version 10 on the server?

Hi Karim,

 

Profiles for Import Agent 9 or before are stored in the registry key.

  • Per 64 bit machine, the registry key is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\Laserfiche\Import Agent 8\Profiles.
  • Per 32bit machine, the registry key is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Laserfiche\Import Agent 8\Profiles.

 

So first, you can export the registry key and import them to the new machine. When install Import Agent 10 or later, the profiles are auto-migrated during install, see screenshot. 

 

The profiles for Import Agent 10 or later are stored as xml files that are under C:\ProgramData\Laserfiche\ImportAgent\Profiles.
