Forms 10 How to Differentiate Between Employee or Public Initiator

asked on February 26, 2018 Show version history

Hello,

I'm trying to build an exclusive gateway in a Forms business process to choose a branch based on whether or not the initiator is an employee or a public user. I had the gateway set up like this:

But it does not seem that it's recognizing "Anonymous User." I tested by throwing it into WF so I could see what BP Initiator was, but it says "Anonymous User" so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you!

If you use the Current User value instead, that will give you "Anonymous User" when you are not logged in. Also, ensure that the form is Published.

Thanks, Raul - unfortunately, this step is happening after somebody internally has approved or rejected it, so the current user would be that staff user. I really need the information for the person who initiated the BP to begin with.

In addition, the form is published - I'm testing from both outside our network and from within.
