Change Default Sort Order for Folders in WebLink?

Hello,

We have a client that is looking to change the Default Sort Order from Ascending to Descending for folders in WebLink. Ideally, they would like this to be set on individual folders, but it also can be set globally if that is the only option, or if there's a workaround.

I have found this Answers post below, (from 2015,) but they have columns enabled in WebLink and public users already can sort descending manually, which is the recommendation from this post.

I would like to know as well.  4 years after my original post, customers are still requesting this feature.  They could use it even if it's not possible to change the default sort per folder - applied to all folders would be fine.  The main reason for this request is that a lot of public documents are filed by year.  Sorting the folder from most recent to oldest is much more helpful than finding the Minutes from 1939 at the top.  Thanks!
