Question

Compress Uploaded Photo's by Default in Forms

asked on February 15, 2018

Hey All,

You can now compress photo's when uploading them to a form which is great, how can you make this the default option for the images to be compressed?

If this isn't possible, can we make this a feature request, as surely you would want smaller image sizes unless you needed high res for something special.

At the moment we have an expense form for submitting expenses incurred during travel/trips away, and every form with a handful of receipts is in excess of 50MB!

Cheers!

Hi Chris,

I haven't seen the option to compress attached uploads in Forms - are you able to point me in the direction of where the settings are for this?

Kind regards,

Ronald

Hey Ronald,

I think you only get the option with photos taken from the device, you can't upload random stuff and compress. After taking a photo you get this pop up as part of the upload process on ios.

It would be nice to take this option away from the users, or just make it defualt to compressed unless you did something specific.

Cheers!

Any luck on this? I want to be able to skip this compressing feature window and have some setting that can allow me to compress in default and only turn it on in settings if I need high resolution copies.
