merge field checkbox

Hi Mark,
A quick summary to update a word document:

1) Upload your word document using the Workflow Admin console under External Objects->Attachements.

2) In your workflow you first need to create an entry specifying the entry name and destination.

3) Update your word document specifying the attachment from step 1.

4) Attach your updated word document to the entry that you created in step 2. ( Source Activity, from Update Word Document:: Result File)

The create entry token can then be used to access the Word doc to email etc.

The Create Entry and Attach Electronic document are usually the steps that are missed. Hopefully this gets you started. If you need more info let me know.

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for your response. However my question is specifically in regards to mapping onto a checkbox in a word document. I have a Word document template with a checkbox field. How do you use the merge feature to make sure that the value captured from forms or wherever is correctly marked to the right checkbox on the word document.

Update Word Document can only interact with Word merge fields. So you can't check a checbox field, but you can make a merge field look like a checked box depending on the value.
