You can reenable a locked account by unchecking "Disable this user" box on the General tab in the user properties under Users and Groups.

We use the Laserfiche Administration Console 10.2 installed on the desktop. Login user needs to have administrator permission.

Assuming web client I think the session timeout is for eight hours. Link

You could experiment with shorter timeouts if using he admin console is a problem.

Would be nice if the web client didn't leave behind sessions if you forget to logout.

I can't find a unlock options anywhere in the administration console and the documentation found here mentions no unlock feature, or any unlock timeframe. It appears once an account is locked, it is locked forever and must be deleted.

How about this

Does you server use LDAP  (aka ADS, Windows, Integrated) security? If you do the user would have problems with windows login too.

Does this still apply in Laserfiche 10. The checkbox "Disable this user" is not checked after failing to login

What was the login error?

Oh, I just meant that I purposely entered the wrong password in order to test. The system does not check that box.

Specifically I configured the system to lock user accounts after 1 failed attempt. Then I purposely made a failed attempt. Opened up the user properties and found that it is not checking the disabled box.
