Forms lookup stripping space characters from data

Forms looks appear to be stripping space characters in the data down to a single space. For example "Hello   World" becomes "Hello World". Can this be turned off.

Where is the lookup data coming from? Is a Stored Procedure being used?

Yes, stored procedure, we verified the procedure itself is not stripping the characters by running EXEC procname in studio
