There are some default settings for new repositories and users that we always have to go in and modify. I wanted to start a conversation around changing these defaults.

1. Everyone group has Bypass Browse and Bypass Folder Filter Expressions enabled. We always disable the former because there isn't a single scenario where it is OK for all users to see everything. Can this be disabled by default? (I know the traditional reason for this was performance, but performance shouldn't be a concern for brand new repositories.)
2. Browser column display is set to Applied to all folders. Once again this doesn't make much sense since columns always need to be customized based on the types of entries in them. Can this be changed to Remembered for each folder?
3. In WA 10 options > display settings, can Folder tree: Expand to current folder be enabled by default? When it is disabled it trips up users.
