One of our clients has regularly scheduled maintenance every Thursday night, where their servers get security patches applied and rebooted.
After the reboot sequence, Import Agent starts and then stops right away. Error messages vary, but the general reason seems to be inability to reach LFDS.
There was an error reading the license file. This program will exit. (LicenseManagerNotFound) There was an error reading the license file. This program will exit. (ConnectionFailed) There was an error reading the license file. This program will exit. (ApplicationNotRegistered)
We changed the reboot order to make sure the Import Agent server is rebooted last, but that didn't fix the issue.
Question 1: How do we address this?
Question 2: Why doesn't Import Agent have a grace period like other LF products? It seems very bizarre that it just stops immediately after a failed attempt to connect to LFDS.
