Feature Request: Weblink Search Form "Search for entries that meet [any/all] Constraint" issue

asked on January 23, 2018

I'm using weblink designer (10.3) to implement some search forms (love it); however, whenever I make a change to the form, it always reverts back to "Search for entries that meet any Constraint" even if I've previously had it to "all constraints". This is a problem, because I need it to keep the constraint applied that it search one template in particular. Not sure if this is a bug or not...

Hello Robyn,

Glad to hear that you like the new search form!

I tested around with the search form briefly and was able to reproduce your issue.

Issue

This occurs whenever you refresh the page or load a new tab to navigate into it.

There is an issue with the UI which only affects the root constraint query.

However within the backend, the "...all constraints" and "...any constraint" are actually changed/observed. If you were to go into your actual Search Form XML within the default location of ...

C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\WebLink\WebLink\Web Files\Custom\searchforms\<reponame>\<search Form name>

You will note based on what you set and saved, it will still retain the "AND" or "OR" condition.

Workaround

While we look into addressing this issue, there is a workaround

1) either save the changes with it set in "All constraints" and it will reflect those settings in the backend.

2) Set an additional group under the "Search for entries that meet any constraints" with "Search for entries that meet all constraints" and that will retain the UI settings as well.

We apologize for the inconvenience and trouble.

Please also reach out to your reseller and file a support case noting bug ID 64305. This way when this bug is fixed, you will be notified and you can apply the new updates.

Regards,

Andrew
