Upload document from Laserfiche to Cloud Based Program

asked on January 22, 2018

Looking for suggestions on the best way to upload a document from Laserfiche to programs in the Cloud. We have been using webdav but it seems not entirely reliable.

Sending webdav link of document to web administrator to upload to our website but it is throwing errors. Wondering if anyone has a best practice for this?

What additional constraints are there?  Why don't you just download it from Laserfiche and upload it to the other program?  Are you looking to automate this?  When you say "upload to our website", are you referring to the cloud-based program?

We are wanting to upload documents that reside in the Laserfiche repository to third party cloud based software. We do not want to download it everytime onto our desktop and then upload it. That is why we are currently using webdav.

Sherri,

What is the name of the cloud based software?  Perhaps if there is not a 'native' process available we could look at building something with the SDK?

We use Escribe. It is an agenda management/electronic voting software.

Sherri,

I spent some time on their website (https://escribemeetings.com/ ) and did not see any resources related to integration options.  I did reach out to them via their contact page requesting additional information in that regard and am awaiting a response.

I take it that the current process is to move the Laserfiche documents to a webdav folder, then your web administrator publishes a link to the webdav content somewhere in the eScribe application, and that the issue is accessing that webdav content from eScribe?  Is that correct?

BTW - Have you spoken with your Laserfiche VAR on potential automation options?
