Question

Reports

asked on January 15, 2018

When you build a report. Is there any way for that person to click the report to view the actual form? We have a report on goals. Each person has a goal sheet. Well, when its time for your review the manager wants to review your goals and what progress you have made. So they have fields in the form that the manager can't see like notes. We don't want to add that to the report because it doesn't look clean.

Can any one offer a suggestion?

Hi Chynna,

If the person viewing the report is process admin or business manager (available in Forms 10.3 and above) for that process, then the person could click the instance to open the instance detail and view the submitted form.

So, for now, the only way they can see it is if I make someone a process admin?

Hello Rui,

Has this feature been update on this to allow Participant Users to have the hyperlink ability?

If I give make these user's more rights, then they could edit the report which I don't want.

If there is no update on this, please add this as a feature request.
Thanks

Hi Chunk,

This thread is about allowing named user to view instance details. However for participant users, they are not allowed to view instances because there is license limitation.

Please check the document for named user and participant differences: https://doc.laserfiche.com/laserfiche.documentation/11/administration/en-us/Default.htm#../Subsystems/Forms/Content/Security.htm

Hello Rui,

I have the same issue with a named user with rights to "Basic User"

As Submitter, this user is unable to view an instance from the Custom Reports.

If I make this user Process Admin or Business, this user can view the instances.  But that allows too much access.  If I give that access to view the instance, the user can edit the reports, interrupt a forms process, etc., which I don't want them to have access.

is there a way to give a Submitter the ability to click and launch an instance from the Custom Reports?

Hi Chunk,

Forms does not have such ability currently. Perhaps we could consider adding a new role between business manager and submitter to allow viewing instances without managing.

I have put this feature request in our backlog, thanks for sharing the use case.
