Temporary page to wait for workflow

Hi.

I have a workflow process which takes about 1 minute. By this time the form closes even though I have set the form to automatically load the next task and the workflow to wait for workflow to finish before proceeding. When the workflow process completes, the task appears in Inbox. Is there a way to display a "Please Wait" gif image in a form while the workflow runs in the background and then load the next task once the workflow completes?

Hi Maubank,

By default the auto load next user task function would wait for 40 seconds before it ends. If you would like auto load to wait for more than 1 minute, you can add an option GetNextAssignedTaskRetries to cf_options table and set its value to more than 30.

Hi. I changed the value of GetNextAssignedTaskRetries to 60 but the task is still waiting for only 40 seconds. I even restarted the forms and workflow server. Please advise how to make forms use the new value for GetNextAssignedTaskRetries.

It should work right after you changed it.

Which version of Forms did you use? This option is added in Forms 10.1 update 3 as https://support.laserfiche.com/kb/1013806/list-of-changes-for-laserfiche-forms-10-1-update-3
