posted on December 21, 2017

Hello Empower attendees,

The Empower 2018 VM is now available for download here, where you can also find required specifications for its usage. You can download this VM to use on your own laptop during lab courses, but this is not required.

If you need assistance settings things up, stop by the Empower Information Center in the Exhibit Hall when you get to the conference. See you soon!

When I attempt to download it is greyed out and I get "Access Denied".  Any idea why?

Hi Dawn,

Please make sure that you have the "Product Download Access" role on the Support Site. If you do not have that role, you can request it from https://support.laserfiche.com/requestroles/

Regards

Laserfiche team,

Thank you for providing the VM download, so I can setup my laptop beforehand. Can you please post list of username/passwords and user's role in the fictitious organization used in the Empower VM labs?

Thanks

Yogesh

Hi Yogesh,

Each lab will use different credentials as determined by the instructor. For a list of general Laserfiche credentials, please refer to the "Information" tab on the splash site that is displayed in Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox upon initial launch.

I tried to open Laserfiche (both windows and web) client from the Start menu, when prompted to login I used admin user and I'm getting Operation Time out error. I tried logging to both repositories and also tried rebooting the VM. Any tips on how to resolve this?

I was able to solve "Operation time out" error by shutting down the VM and changing the Network Connection to NAT in VM Workstation and then powered on the machine again. Hopefully this may help someone.
