Touch to call phone numbers in mobile app

asked on December 19, 2017 Show version history

Anyone ever been able to create a touch to call link on a form that works with the LF App? I am trying the recommended HTML tag for this and it tries to open it as a standard link instead of passing over to the phone app. Maybe this is only supported by internet browsers?

<a href=”tel:+14123815500″>1 (412) 381-5500</a>

The need is to have a telephone field copied to a touch to call link, so that they can call with 1 touch from the form without having to memorize the number.

I'm not sure if that causes it, but at least one of your double quotes is a Word smart quote, not a standard double quote character.

It came over that way when copy pasting from the site that recommended it. But in the javascript I am using the standard double quote character.

It just seems the tel: command is not recognized and it tries to treat it as a http: command

Hi Chad,

Thank you for feedback, we just added support for telephone link in Forms on App, and it will be included in the next release.

Hi Chad,

The latest released Android LF app 10.3.1 and iOS LF app 10.3.2 support the tel: scheme in custom html now.
