Question

html link from forms not clickable

asked on December 8, 2017

My client has some forms that will send an email out with a custom link in it. When received in a desktop email client, the link works and can be clicked. When the email is opened up on a web client, the link is not hot, or clickable anymore.

I have also tested this on mobile device(iPhone)'s mail client and I am able to click the link just fine. We have also noticed, that this only effects the emails forms is sending out, and only on web clients(multiple recipients reports this issue). Other emails shown in the web client that had links worked fine.

They are on Forms 10.2.1.157.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Thanks!

It sounds like an issue with the email client settings. You can set up your gmail, yahoo, etc. to show or not show the message as HTML. In order for the link to be clickable, the setting should be set to show the message as HTML.

Which email client is getting this issue? Is it Outlook Web?

Are you just placing the URL in the editor it are you making sure that in the HTML view that it has the <a href=""></a> tags? Some applications will automatically recognize that it is a URL and make them clickable, while others will not. If it has the HTML tags I mentioned about above there problem usually does not happen.
