I found out that the spacing that the calendar displays when a field is picked or left empty is due to Field Rules. I was able to reproduce the issue using only one radio button and a calendar inside a collection.

When the form doesn’t have Field Rules applies, it shows as the first screenshot below.

When the form has a Field Rule that says “Show Collection When Radio Button Is Not Blank”, then you see the behaviors as the second screenshot below. Notice the space difference between the “Value is Required” error on both screenshots. It also seems to increment the space as more Field Rules are applied.

This only happens in calendars inside a collection

Anyone know of a workaround for this?
