Import Agent service has stopped. Any fixes I can try?

For some reason, over the weekend, our import agent services have stopped and I cannot get it to restart.  When trying to open the import agent configuration app, I get the following error....

There was an error reading the license file.  This program will exit.  (MismatchedApplicationStats)

Our server host often applies updates over the weekend, so I'm wondering if that could have caused the issue.  Any ideas on how I can fix this?

Hi Justin,

Was Import Agent updated during the weekend? The error indicates the license file is incorrect. Please go to Import Agent Installation folder, and check the license file lf.licx there. Make sure the license file is valid.

I found the license file, but how do I check it to see if it's valid?

The most common cause is an invalid HWFP.  Open the license with an XML reader or with IE. Look for the HWFP and compare the HWFP against the value when running the showhwfp tool.  If the two do not match, un-register Import Agent and register it again with the new HWFP and obtain a new license.

I checked the HWFP and they do match.

Open a case with Support so we can look into it.

It was a licensing issue that the company who hosts our server managed to fix.  I think they may have let our license run out and needed to renew it.
