Forms Help Documentation - Request

asked on November 24, 2017

I feel like there is some key information missing in the Forms Help documentation.  It would be helpful to have a description of some of the key tokens; some sort of outline that would help to understand some of the pieces tracked for each process.  Something outlining what the following tokens represent:  %(BP ID), %(BP Process ID), %(BP Instance ID), %(BP Submission ID), maybe another page in this list for outlining what some of the key tokens represent:

I understand them now, but it took more playing around with trial and error than I would have liked and I did try to find help in the software help files first.

I just finished hand-writing out the following, to help anyone in my office to understand if needed:

  • Every Website Report form will always have 54 as the business process ID.  Token: %(BP ID)
  • Every Website Report form process started has it's own instance ID.  Token: %(BP Instance ID)
  • Every LF Forms process instance that is started may have numerous submissions throughout the process, each with their own ID.  Token:  %(Submission ID)

I believe this is the link you are looking for.

Ah!  Yes, that is helpful.  I wonder why it doesn't come up when I do a search for any of the key words?  Maybe it did but I overlooked that page because the title is "variables" and the info I'm looking for is so far down the page and not related to variables.

Splitting that into two pages might be more helpful.

Thanks, Blake!
