Question

Using 2 number variables in a exclusive gateway

asked on November 19, 2017 Show version history

Hi All

As per https://answers.laserfiche.com/questions/48664/Can-I-compare-two-or-more-variables-to-decide-gateway-condition-or-user-task-priority#48665 I was using two number fields from a form to do a comparison but found I had the same issue as https://answers.laserfiche.com/questions/65854/Compare-Currency-Variables-in-Path-Condition#65859. Adding Number() works but I wanted to know if this is intentional or has it broken in Forms 10.2.0.789?

Hi Jason,

It is expected to use number() function when comparing number type variables.

In 10.3 we supported inserting conditional expression for comparing two number variables, and it would include the number() function by default.
