Hello,

We have a client that is running into an annotation search issue.

They run Annotation searches based upon text (like "pending" or "posted") that they update on a daily basis in sticky notes in documents.

Lately however, when they change the text from “pending” to “posted,” they do a “pending” search and the document is still in search results, when it should not be.

It seems like maybe some of the historical metadata just isn’t being cleared from these documents, and maybe that’s why they still appear in the search?

They are on Laserfiche 10.2.1.953

If the documents are version controlled, the search will also look inside the text of the past versions.

Edit: I was wrong, it should only search the current version but it takes some time for the search engine to catch up with the latest values. Does it still return the document a while after it is updated?

Hi Robert, so if it should only search for the current version and it still is pulling up the old annotation text from changes weeks prior, would you have any other suggestions?
