Forms Version 10 How To

Hi experts.

I'm ussing the function WORKDAY (=WORKDAY (date1,1)) in a forms date element to exclude weekends, this is working well.

My version is 10.2.1. LF Río

I have a problem to calculate holidays, such as independence day or new year, is there a way to make the validation for holidays?

Hi Rui.

It is a simple script.

You register the holiday in wf admin console and the function WORKDAY in forms takes the information in real time to calculate the date. I read that there is a background wf making this calculation. But only works for weekend.

Thanks Carlos. But Forms formula function could never work with a background workflow in real time, so maybe the script you saw implemented a function in itself.

Hi Carlos,

There was no way to get holidays in formula calculation.

If you would like to do that, I think you can try with custom javascript and Google canlendar api like https://stackoverflow.com/questions/30833844/get-holidays-list-of-a-country-from-google-calendar-api

Unfortunately i have no internet access to use and consume the API at the client facilities.

I have read that Workday function works with a behind workflow and this with the holidays calendar at workflow administration console, but it is not working.

Hi Carlos,

Forms did not support calculating holidays. For "Workday function with a workflow" you mentioned, it's not a function provided by Forms so we can't confirm if we could support that. Can you give more detail on how that is done?

Hi, we have supported configuring holiday calendars on Forms 12.
