Question

Scheduling Session Without Quick Fields Agent?

asked on November 14, 2017

I have had some trouble finding conclusive answers in release note whitepapers regarding the requirements of scheduling a session in quick fields. Specifically, in the version 10 release of Quick Fields the Quick Fields Server can run scheduled sessions on documents located on the server it's installed on.

My understanding then would be that a session created on the server could be scheduled to run without Quick Fields Agent license/installation. Is this correct, or is any and all ability to schedule a session reliant on having purchased Quick Fields Agent? Meaning that regardless of what version a client has, they will always need Agent to run a scheduled session?

Scheduling sending documents already in the session can be done from the Options dialog. Completely unattended processing requires a Quick Fields Agent license.

We have Quickfields 10 and I store most of the sessions on the server. As far as I know you need the Quickfields Agent to schedule.
