Question

"Error reading HTTP response body" when downloading in Mac OS X

asked on November 10, 2017

Hello,

We have a client that recently updated Web Access to 10.2 (10.2.1.362) and since then, some users on MAC OS X have been unable to download files from Laserfiche in Google Chrome or Safari.

When trying to download the files, they get the message "Error reading HTTP response body," included in the screenshot below. The user is running MAC OS X 10.9.5. Before the update, they were able to download and did not get this error.

Have any of you ran into this message before and any ideas how to prevent this error from occurring?

Didn't found out much on this. The outcome was different based on if we downloaded Images (as PDFs) vs downloading as electronic document.

Not sure if you noticed this, but there was a page in the file was displaying the same error. So when you attempted to download, you would get this error.

In order to fix the file, just replaced the page. No idea what causes the problem though.

We were getting the same error and ultimately ended up disabling the "BranchCache" service on our Laserfiche server. It solved our issue because there was some problem with the caching. Not sure if this is related to your issue but worth a try!

Thanks,

Julie
