FEATURE REQUEST: Closing Office files prompt to display the file name being saved back

asked on November 9, 2017

Hi Team,

We have a scenario where a client opens multiple office files (i.e Excel) and when closing the files, they are receiving the prompt to save back into Laserfiche but it does not advise them of which file is being closed?

Basically, they need to close each File at a time so they know it is the file being saved back.

We would like to know if it would be possible for the following to occur when closing office applications:

1. Similar to PDF files, provide the file name being an option, so they know which file is being closed if they are to close the application altogether and not just one document?

2. As in, when closing Excel and not just a document, the prompt will display which file is being saved.

Reason,

There have been times where the user closes multiple files at once, but because they do not know which file is prompting them to be saved back, they are duplicating and making changes to files they do not want to.

Please advise,

Ziad

Hi Ziad,

thanks for the feedback. We are going to add the document name into the dialog title for the following dialog, do you think it works for you?

Hi Huazhen,

That would be perfect, just being able to see the file name on that screen would be great.

Thank you again
