Laserfiche scanning has stopped working

We have been having issues with Laserfiche Scanning crashing while the user is separating the batch or applying and filling in the templates. 

Debug runs and then gives the same error with Close program as the only option. We are running the 10.2 client locally on their PCs, using the Canon DR-6010C scanners with the latest drivers.  The batch could be 20 pages or 120 pages when it crashes.  Has anyone else had this issue, or have any ideas on what i can do to resolve it?

I recommend that you try the Laserfiche Scanning 10.3.1 hotfix. We included some changes to make the application much more stable while viewing fields, especially while working with many instances of multi-value fields or multi-value field groups

Me too!  I've had half a dozen users complain of scanning crashing while splitting documents in version 10.2.  Did you find a solution?  I've been back-revving their client version to 10.1 which feels lame, but it seems much more stable.

We were in the process of moving to 10.3 to attempt to resolve the issue but we ended up breaking our test environment during the update (looked like some components didn't install properly causing issues with the repository).  Shortly after we hit our end of the year/start of year rush and haven't had a chance to look into what went sideways.  They have been scanning smaller batches and it seems to be working.

Please have your VAR open a tech support case so we can investigate this issue further.

Has a ticket been opened or resolution found for this issue? We're experiencing the same thing in 10.3. We scan and split documents using the thumbnails' contextual menu. No need for very large scans. Program slows down gradually until it crashes. Simply shuts down with no pop-up. I tried monitoring the resources but nothing seems to build up in terms or RAM or CPU usage.

I had my VAR open a ticket and work with me on this for a long time. After troubleshooting I was told 10.3 fixed the issue but we had so many problems implementing it that we decided to wait until the next version releases. As I mentioned on another comment 10.3 consistently broke our test environment (a clone of our production environment). At this time our users scan smaller batches or save the batches right after scanning taking some extra time to break them down to avoid the error.

Hi Olivier, did you ever get resolution to this issue?  Did the hotfix below work for you?  My issue is the same in that it shuts down without any pop-ups, AND the scan session is simply lost.  Previously, if there were crashes, the scan project would be stored temporarily and able to reload.  Not anymore!  We've started troubleshooting and can't isolate the issue, other than Laserfiche of course.  Thanks very much for your time!
