Using the web client we can use Advanced search (and it a few other spots) to see the search syntax the wizard built.

How do we see/copy the search syntax in the desktop client?

Should any search developed in the Web version work in the desktop client version?

Can we paste a search string in either client?

The "Search Syntax" search section in the windows client will show the current syntax. There is a checkbox below that allows you to add more to the search phrase:

The search syntax is interchangeable between the web and windows clients.
