Question

Client Launch with credentials

asked on November 1, 2017

windows Client 10.2 (10.2.1.953)

Is there a way to launch the LaserFiche client with the username and password credentials?

I use this to launch: "C:\Program Files (x86)\Laserfiche\Client\LF.exe" -L"repoName"

This displays the username/password dialog - which is fine THE FIRST TIME." On subsequent loads, even though I have an authenticated session, it still asks for the username and password.

? Is there any way to avoid the username/password login when we already have an authenticated session? I want to be able to launch multiple times from our desktop application to do a variety of tasks.

? Any chance a "remember me" could be added in 10.3?

? We can't use Windows Login credentials - if we could, would the client load w/o prompting?

We have a "hosted" server so the desktop is not using the Active Directory Service(ADS) of the LF server.

? Might there be a way we could authenticate the client using the PC's ADS domain instead of the servers domain?

The client can be launched with the username/password specified in the command line, but the help files don't expose this because of the security implications. The -n flag is for the username and -p is for password, e.g LF.exe -L"RepoName" -n"User" -p"Password".
