Question

Advanced search on MIME search

asked on November 1, 2017

Is it possible to do an advanced search using mime type? What's the syntax if so?

Also, is there a reference document with all the available search terms? I've tried the help files and Google searches and searches on the Laserfiche support and Answers sites but haven't been able to find a comprehensive resource for it. (Apologies in advance if it's somewhere obvious that I've overlooked).

I'm using LF 10.1 but will soon be on LF 10.2.

Mime type searches aren't currently supported, but file extension searches are.  Do you have a mime type that doesn't map to an extension?

Thanks Andy and Brian - combination of your answers has sorted me out.{LF:EXT="doc"} will do. I didn't know about the extension search option.

To my knowledge, this white paper from 2008 is the most recent search syntax resource available.

The mime type search will be addressed in LFS 10.3.1
