Question

Searching for multiple words that are in the same document, but are not together in WebLink

asked on October 30, 2017

Hello,

We have a client that is trying to run a search in WebLink. They need to look for two words that are in the same document, but are not together, (not right after the next.)

Do you know how they could perform a search like this? They have tried using quotation marks for the words, but did not have any luck with the search.

Weblink can run the same kind of searches the client can.  A text search brings back words from the first and last pages.  Are you limiting the kinds of searches a weblink user can run?

no, we do not have any limitations. We are trying to search for 2 words, that are not together in the same document, but I am unable to locate the syntax to accomplish this.  If you can elaborate on the syntax for this, please advise. Thanks.

It looks like you can do something like (%(SearchTerm)) in the customize quick searches module then use words separated by an & in the search field.
