Question

Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.

asked on October 30, 2017

Hi,

I have a workflow which has stopped working and instead kicks the following error message:

"Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation."

We are running:

WF Designer 10.2.0.216

WF: 10.2.0.202

LF Server : 10.2

Thanks,

Anthony

Hi Miruna,

I thought that.  All that was recorded and logged in events was the text "Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation".  A restart of the WO Service seems to have fixed it.  Should have done that first really... :)

There isn't enough information to troubleshoot. Having a Designer slightly newer than the server may cause that issue, but again, there's not much to go on. You may want to contact your reseller and open a case with Tech Support.

Hi @████████ what is the WO service? I'm getting the same message.

Hi James,

It was a typo on my side.  Here we have WO (work order) and WF (workflow).  It was the Workflow Service which needed a restart.

Hope this helps.
