Question

cant login into web access by windows authentication

asked on October 23, 2017

HI everybody,

The client of ours is encountering an issue when attempting to access Web Access through an external URL with Windows Authentication. When Client navigates to Web Access using their public URL  and checks the box to use Windows Authentication to log in, then clicks login, another dialog comes up prompting for credentials. This prompts keeps coming up even if user repeated enters their Windows credentials. They are unable to log in.

You mention an "external URL" - is your Web Access server in a DMZ, or did you mean something else by that?  The domain credentials that the user enters have to be valid on the Web Access server, which is not usually the case in a DMZ scenario.

One thing that catches my eye is that you have the "Windows authentication" box checked, which should cause the input fields to be disabled.  But on top of that, checking that box indicates that you want to use Kerberos authentication.  Have you done the necessary setup for that to work?

Dear Brian,

can we create a group from active directly and add in configurations for web access to login directly in  web access without getting Kerberos authentication
