Question

Question

Forms Authentication

asked on October 23, 2017

Hello,

I have Forms 10.1 & LFDS 10.2

When I try to logon to Forms it redirects to LFDS, which is behind the firewall....

I want to know how can I configure the Authentication in a way that the redirection does not go to LFDS because it's behind the Firewall...

This is a RIO system & if I need to have ADFS then I would like to know how can I roll back to the configuration in Forms to have authentication from Laserfiche Accounts rather than Directory Server?

Thanks in advance.

Sahil

I found this to reset:

So only the first part of question is pending.

So, I was able to make LF accounts & works with LF authentication.

The only thing I want to know, if it's possible not to have LFDS internet facing & still have authentication going through it?

Sahil,

You can configure multiple STS pages for LFDS authentication. We have a Forms Portal in the DMZ, so we configured an STS page on the same server, which then handles the interaction with the LFDS behind the firewall.

Basically, we have internet-facing Forms and STS instances, but our LFDS is still behind the firewall on the internal network.

Can you please share how to set it up?

Thanks

Our engineers configured it, so I don't know enough of the details to provide a worthwhile step-by-step walkthrough.

I know they started with the Laserfiche whitepaper on Forms DMZ configuration, after that it seemed to just be a matter of setting up the second STS instance.

I'm sure someone from LF would be better suited to point you in the right direction.
