Configure the VRS engine to always scan at 300 dpi in Laserfiche Scanning

Hello,

Is it possible to set the Kofax VRS scan source to use 300 dpi by default when scanning in LF Scanning? I tried saving a profile, but that doesn't seem to do the trick. I'm wondering if this setting needs to be changed in the registry or a specific Kofax VRS .ini file somewhere?

Hi,

It used be controlled by a setting in a file called kscan.ini under C:\Program Data\Kofax.... I am not sure if it still the same anymore. It would have to be changed by a user will full Administrator rights to save, sometimes we would have to login as the Local Admin to get it to save.

For anyone that gets stuck with this issue, make sure that you right click on Quick Fields, and 'Run as Administrator' and it should save all of the settings properly without having to edit the .ini file.
