Question

Laserfiche App and MAM

asked on October 18, 2017

Hi All,

Does the Laserfiche app support mobile application management (MAM) or Mobile Device Management (MDM) or both?

Cheers!

Laserfiche Mobile currently does not implement any Intune specific APIs that their SDK documentation lists as "requires app’s participation". The Intune features that don't require app support should work. Also some of Laserfiche App Server's security features (pass-code for offline access, encryption) overlap with theirs.

Do you have any specific Intune features in mind you wish Laserfiche added support for?

One specific thought we had was to be able to limit access to allow only an Intune install to connect to our LF mobile, essentially disallowing a regular app store install from connecting.

The goal of this feature would be to keep all of our repository users in the MDM sandbox, and therefore retain control in the event the phone is lost/stolen.  If they install from the regular app store we do not have an easy way to remove the software.

If you are asking whether LFMobile has MAM/MDM features, the answer is No. There are Laserfieche app server side configurable security features regarding authentication, content stored on mobile devices which are meant to complement 3rd party MAM/MDM systems' security features but not an alternative to them. If the question is if LFMobile can be used with MAM/MDM systems then yes.

If you are asking if any specific integrations exists for any particular vendor, the answer is no but please let us know which vendor integration would you like to see supported. E.g. pushing MDM profiles  (with pre-configured appserver, cloud account number type information etc.), content provider integrations, SAML authentication integrations. Thank you.

Thanks for the reply Barna,

Can you let me know if Laserfiche is compatible with Windows Intune?

Cheers!
